The Vascular Disease Research Center is a center of excellence for peripheral vascular disease research.
The center develops clinical trials and basic science research, and has a demonstrated track record in obtaining funding for these ideas from the federal government through the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The center also coordinates a number of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) studies at Rhode Island Hospital.
The center can help investigators seeking to develop ideas in the vascular disease arena into fundable grant applications either formally with center involvement, or informally. The center is also able to serve in this capacity for the medical device or drug industry, helping to plan and execute all aspects of FDA studies.
