Medical director Douglas Shemin, MD, is also the interim director of the division of kidney diseases and hypertension at University Medicine, Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals, and The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University, where he is also an associate professor of medicine. In addition, Shemin is chairman of the board of directors of the End Stage Renal Disease Network of New England. His main clinical and research interests are end stage kidney failure and renal replacement therapy.
