At Rhode Island Hospital, more than 3,000 OR cases each year require plastic surgery expertise. The department includes the craniofacial/maxillofacial service, for in-depth  treatment of traumatic and congenital deformities of the head and neck, a busy hand and microvascular service, and research in the areas of  tissue expansion and breast reconstruction.

The Brown University Residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, based at Rhode Island Hospital, is the oldest training program in New England.

Pediatric Plastic Surgery

The Cleft and Craniofacial Center at Hasbro Children's Hospital is made up of an interdisciplinary team that works to create the best treatment plan for each child. Our subspecialty surgeons have each completed fellowships in pediatric and craniomaxillofacial surgery. They specialize in the surgical treatment of congenital and acquired disorders of the face and skull, including both the soft tissue and the bones.
