Getting to the Hospital (more directions: Heading
Home)
Heading North on Interstate 95:
When traveling north on I-95, ake exit 18 for Thurbers Avenue.
Keep left at the fork and follow signs for Eddy St.
Continue straight onto Thurbers Ave.
Turn right at Eddy Street after 0.8 miles.
Turn left at Dudley St.
To reach the Main Building or Jane Brown, continue straight through the light and take a left into the main entrance.
To reach other points on campus, such as the Cooperative Care
Center, Medical Office Center, the Andrew F. Anderson Emergency Center, Hasbro
Children's Hospital or the APC Building, take a left onto Dudley
Street and follow the signs.
Heading South on Interstate 95:
When traveling south on I-95, take exit 19 and bear right.
At the end of the exit ramp there is a traffic light at the
intersection of Eddy and Dudley streets.
To reach the Main Building or Jane Brown, take a right at the
light and take a left into the main entrance.
To reach other points on campus, such as the Cooperative Care
Center, Medical Office Center, the Andrew F. Anderson Emergency Center, Hasbro
Children's Hospital or the APC Building, continue straight onto
Dudley Street and follow the signs.
From Route I-195 West:
If you are traveling from the East Bay area, have two different ways to get to the hospital on I-195 west. The easiest route is to bear left at the reamp split onto I-95 south. You can then take exit 18, Thurbers Avenue, located immediately after of the bridge. You will take a left onto Allens Avenue, a left onto Public Street, and a right onto Eddy Street. Turn left at Dudley street and the hospital will be on your left.
An alternate route is to take I-195 west to Exit 2 (South Main Street). Take a left onto James Street, a left onto South Water Street, and a right onto Point Street. Take a left onto Eddy Street, and then a right at the intersection onto Dudley Street. The hospital will be on your left.
Getting back onto Interstate 95:
The most direct way to get back to I-95 is to head south on
Eddy Street (downtown Providence will be behind you.) After
1 mile you will come to a traffic light at the intersection
of Eddy Street and Thurbers Avenue. Turn left onto Thurbers
Avenue. You will see the entrance to I-95 South on the right;
the entrance for I-95 North is further ahead on the left.
Getting to I-195 East:
Follow the directions to I-95 North. Once on I-95 North, I-195
East is the next exit.
