Getting to the Hospital (more directions: Heading
Home)
Heading North on Interstate 95:
When traveling north on I-95, take exit 18. Bear left at the
end of the exit onto Thurbers Avenue. At the first traffic light,
take a right onto Eddy Street. After approximately 1 mile, you
will come to a light at the intersection of Eddy and Dudley
streets.
To reach the Main Building or Jane Brown, continue straight
through the light and take a left into the main entrance.
To reach other points on campus, such as the Cooperative Care
Center, Medical Office Center, the Andrew F. Anderson Emergency Center, Hasbro
Children's Hospital or the APC Building, take a left onto Dudley
Street and follow the signs.
Heading South on Interstate 95:
When traveling south on I-95, take exit 19 and bear right.
At the end of the exit ramp there is a traffic light at the
intersection of Eddy and Dudley streets.
To reach the Main Building or Jane Brown, take a right at the
light and take a left into the main entrance.
To reach other points on campus, such as the Cooperative Care

From Route I-195 West:
If you are traveling from the East Bay area, you will be affected by the recent change in traffic pattern along I-195 west. The easiest route traveling from the East Bay area, would be to travel west on I-195. The new I-195 to I- 95 north/ I-95 south is immediately after the George Washington Bridge (the Gano street off ramp). If you stay in the left two lanes, you will cross the new I-way bridge, taking you to I-95 south. You can then take exit 18, Thurbers Avenue, located immediately after of the bridge, to access Eddy Street. Follow Eddy Street down to the hospitals.
Also, if you decide to travel in the right two lanes on I-195 you can still access the South Main Street exit. Once you get off of the South Main Street exit, take your first left. Follow traffic up to the intersection. You will want to bear right and cross over the Point Street Bridge. Once over the bridge, take a left at the light to access the hospitals' locations.
Getting back onto Interstate 95:
The most direct way to get back to I-95 is to head south on
Eddy Street (downtown Providence will be behind you.) After
1 mile you will come to a traffic light at the intersection
of Eddy Street and Thurbers Avenue. Turn left onto Thurbers
Avenue. You will see the entrance to I-95 South on the right;
the entrance for I-95 North is further ahead on the left.
Getting to I-195 East:
Follow the directions to I-95 North. Once on I-95 North, I-195
East is the next exit.
