Fischer, MD, FACP
Staci Fischer, MD, FACP, is an infectious disease specialist at
Rhode Island Hospital, and an assistant professor of medicine at
Brown Medical School. She is an expert in transplant-related infections.
Fischer received her bachelor's degree from Tulane University and
her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine
in New Orleans. She completed both her internal medicine residency
and infectious disease fellowship training at Rush-Presbyterian
- St. Luke's Medical Center.
She serves as the Infectious Diseases Society of America representative
to the Centers for Disease Control Organ Transplant Infection Prevention
and Detection Program.
Fischer has received numerous awards, including the Brown Medical
School Department of Medicine Chairman's Award for Outstanding Teaching.
She has repeatedly been named to the "Best Doctors in America"
and "America's Top Physicians" lists, and was included
in Better Living magazine's "Best Doctors" list in its
Rhode Island/Cape Cod edition. She recently was named a "Top
Doc" by Rhode Island Monthly.
