- What is osteoporosis?
Osteoporosis is a skeletal disorder that causes your bones to
become thin and weak, putting you at a high risk for fractures.
- Diagnosing osteoporosis
At the Hallett Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, we use the
latest, most accurate scanning equipment.
- Treatment options
We offer multiple approaches to treating osteoporosis.
Our Team
The physicians at the Hallett Center are endocrinologists.
Endocrinologists are specially trained physicians who treat diseases
that affect the body's glands, the endocrine system. Osteoporosis
is one such disease. Endocrinologists also treat other bone diseases,
such as Paget's disease. The team at the Hallett Center specializes
in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of bone diseases.
Research
Our experienced group of scientists and physicians are dedicated
to finding new ways to prevent and treat osteoporosis. We offer
our patients the opportunity to participate in clinical trials evaluating
new therapies for endocrine disorders. If you are interested in
participating in a clinical trial or would like more information,
please call our clinical research study line at 401-444-5379.
