The Mission and Vision of Our Program
The mission of Rhode Island Hospital is to be at the forefront of patient care by creating, applying and sharing the most advanced knowledge of health care. One mechanism to achieve this is through the commitment
to continuing medical education (CME). Rhode Island Hospital recognizes
CME as an integral component of its mission and strives to create
an intellectual, nurturing and stimulating environment, which enhances
the physician's ability to provide high quality health care.
Rhode Island Hospital is an organization with interests in issues
vital to health and science, continuing professional medical education
and the promotion of public awareness. Rhode Island Hospital CME
program aspires to be a regional health care continuing medical
education resource.
We strive to:
- maintain a CME program that serves as a model of excellence;
- comply with the essentials established by the ACCME in an exemplary
manner;
- provide uniformly excellent, commercially unbiased educational
activities;
- meet the educational needs of physicians.
Accreditation
Rhode Island Hospital is accredited by the Rhode Island Medical
Society to provide intrastate continuing medical education for
