Feilei Huang
Senior Research Assistant Feilei Huang is a senior research assistant for the proteomics core facility.  She brings more than seven years of experience in product marketing and laboratory research. She has extensive experience in proteomics as well as DNA, RNA and sample preparation. Her technical expertise includes the following biological applications:

• Mass spectrometry—LC-MS/MS, MALDI-TOF and SELDI-TOF

• Protein identification, quantitation

• Biomarker discovery

• Laboratory automation workstation

• Protein fractionation and immuno-affinity purification

• Chromatography

• 1D and 2D eletrophoresis and analysis

• Protein sample preparation

• Subcellular localizaton and electron microscopy

• Various imaging systems

• DNA and RNA isolation and purification, RT-PCR

Huang is a native of China. In 2000 she moved to Binghamton, New York where she earned her master of science degree in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology from State University of New York (SUNY). While at SUNY she was a teaching assistant for biochemistry, molecular genetics, organismal and population biology. She speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Her strong background in protein analysis, molecular and cell biology is a great asset to the proteomics core.
