Radiologic Technology Program
The Radiologic Technology Program is NOW collaborating with Rhode Island College to offer a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology degree upon completion of the program. The BS in Radiologic Technology program offered through Rhode Island College is a four-year program consisting of two years of General Education and cognate courses taken at Rhode Island College followed by a two-year clinical education program at Rhode Island Hospital.
The Radiologic Technology Clinical Education Program offers a 24-month, full-time, day program and a 30-month, part-time, evening program with both classroom-based and hands-on clinical education in the art and science of radiography.
Classes and clinic for the clinical education program are held at Rhode Island Hospital, its Hasbro Children's Hospital, University Orthopedics and Rhode Island Medical Imaging. A select number of students will attend clinic at The Miriam Hospital and Newport Hospital. Rhode Island Hospital is a major teaching hospital for Brown Medical School. Students will work in the hospital with physicians, radiology professionals and other members of the health care team.
Students who successfully complete the BS in Radiologic Technology program are eligible to take the national certification examination offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
