Additional Information to Consider:

Applications are accepted year round. The application deadline for the program is April 1 for all start dates.

No exception can be made, ALL potential candidates selected for interviews are required to observe the clinical phase of the program.

The MRI program director/clinical coordinator schedules the clinical observation in the magnetic resonance imaging department at Rhode Island Hospital. Observation lasts approximately four-eight hours. The observation must be scheduled and attended before the set interview date.

Dress is business casual. Keeping in mind the following are unacceptable: shorts, jeans, short skirts, sleeveless shirts, sandals and sneakers. You will be observing in a professional healthcare atmosphere and should be dressed appropriately; we reserve the right to ask for an individual to change prior to observation in the department.

Once an application has been submitted:

Within a week of receiving your application, the school will contact you via phone or postal services confirming receipt of your application

After the April 1 application deadline, all applicants will receive an additional phone call to schedule an interview between May and June.

Once all interviews are complete and the interviewing committee has determined whom the selected candidates will or will not be, potential students/candidates will receive notification letters of conditional acceptance or denial from the MRI Program Director/Clinical Coordinator. All attempts are made to send out acceptance and/or denial letters within 30 days of the first interview.
