Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program

MRI Program Commitment

At the RIH School of Diagnostic Imaging—MRI program we make learning an easy and pleasant experience. The MRI Program is a ten-month commitment; students are required to be at the School of Diagnostic Imaging and their rotational clinical sites for a total of 32 hours, but not exceeding 40 hours weekly, or 8 hours per day.

Times are dependent upon instructor availability, number of courses offered and labs associated with didactic content.

Routine schedule: Monday – Thursday
Routine Hours: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Routine Week: 8 hours didactic/academic and 24 hours clinical education

The program runs two simultaneous groups:

Group 1 starts in September of every year and graduates June of every year.

  • Didactic/Academic: Monday
  • Clinical: Tuesday-Thursday

Group 2 starts in December of every year and graduates September of every year

  • Didactic/Academic: Thursday
  • Clinical: Monday-Wednesday
