Community Outreach
In the late 1990’s, the IPC’s community efforts were jump-started when they received one of four US Department of Transportation “Safe Communities” grants. Since that time the IPC has maintained an active community coalition consisting of representatives from the hospital, state and local agencies, community organizations and businesses. Through this coalition, the IPC has developed and maintained a strong presence in the community as a partner and resource for health advocacy and action.
What We Do
The Injury Prevention Center frequently provides safety information to the Enterprise Community through outreach work at schools, libraries, community centers and other local agencies.
