Speech-Language Pathology
The speech-language pathology department utilizes state-of-the-art services to provide comprehensive speech and language diagnostic evaluations and intervention for children and adults.
Services are provided in all areas of communication, including oral motor, speech articulation, learning/language differences, written language, voice, fluency and augmentative/alternative communication as well as feeding/swallowing disorders.
The members of the department, while providing services, interface with a wide variety of clinics and programs within the Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's Hospital community, including
- Partial Hospitalization Program
- Pedi GI Feeding Team
- Center for Pediatric Imaging/Adult Radiology
- Ventilator Integration Program (VIP)
- Craniofacial Clinic
- Children's Neurodevelopment Center
- Early Intervention Program
- ENT Clinic
- ALS Clinic
Children and adults are provided both inpatient and outpatient services at the Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's Hospital campus and the new Coro West location.
