Donor Guide
Second Visit with the Nephrologist
Once the tests have been completed and received by the transplant
office, the potential donor must return to the nephrologist for
a second appointment. During this appointment all results will be
reviewed.
At this point in time the donor will have a clear understanding
of his or her eligibility status. If there are any questions regarding
the potential donor's safety, the nephrologist will inform the donor.
Please keep in mind that at any point in this process the
nephrologist may determine that the candidate would be at significant
risk and not be eligible to donate.
