Car Seats

Watch Dina Morrissey, MD, MPH, Program Coordinator for the Injury Prevention Center, demonstrate how to properly install a car seat.

The Kohl’s Cares – Kids on the Go Program, which raises funds for children's health and educational opportunities has created the Kohl's Cares Car Seat Check Program at Rhode Island Hospital. The program provides education on car seat safety and car/booster seat inspections.

How the Program Can Help You

With the Kohl's Cares Car Seat Check Program, certified child passenger safety technicians from the Injury Prevention Center can help teach parents how to properly install car seats in their vehicles. In addition, low-income families may qualify to receive a car/booster seat free of charge.
