Spiritual Care Department

The mission of the spiritual care department is to promote healing by addressing the spiritual and emotional needs of our patients, families and staff while respecting their own beliefs and values.

Each person reacts differently during a time of hospitalization. Rhode Island Hospital has a multi-faith department of spiritual care to minister to patients' spiritual needs while they are hospitalized. Our services are designed to accommodate the diversity of faiths and spiritual outlooks that our patients and staff members bring to the hospital.

The spiritual care team can provide services to patients of any faith, perspective or tradition.

Chapels and Services
The Hospital provides two interfaith chapels for quiet and reflection. The Rhode Island Hospital Chapel of Hope is located on the first floor near the lobby of the Main Building and the Hasbro Children's Hospital chapel is located in the upper lobby of Hasbro.
