The Comprehensive Cancer Center at Rhode Island Hospital is accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Accreditation is granted only to those facilities that have voluntarily committed to provide the best in cancer diagnosis and treatment and are able to comply with established Commission on Cancer standards.
Rhode Island Hospital has also been designated a Blue Distinction Center for Complex and Rare Cancers by the national Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island. This designation recognizes the center for excellence in the treatment of brain cancers, as well as acute leukemia and esophageal, gastric, liver, pancreatic, rectal and thyroid cancers.
The Comprehensive Cancer Center offers complete care for patients who have been diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders. It is important to us that you have the support you need to manage this time in your life with confidence and comfort.
