    Nutritionists at RIH are registered dietitians, licensed by the State of Rhode Island and registered by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. They are trained in all areas of nutrition and they regularly translate diet prescriptions into everyday food choices.

    Dietitians offer nutritional counseling for a variety of health conditions, including:

    1. Celiac Disease
    2. Congestive Heart Failure
    3. Diabetes
    4. Food Allergies
    5. Gastrointestinal Problems
    6. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
    7. High Cholesterol
    8. Hypertension-High Blood Pressure
    9. Hypoglycemia-Low Blood Sugar
    10. Kidney Disease
    11. Obesity

    Physician Referral Form - Adult
    Prior to making an appointment, patients require a physician referral with the ICD-10 diagnosis as the reason for the visit.

    *Attention Medicare Patients- Medicare only covers Nutrition Counseling for renal and diabetes diagnoses.
