The Anne King Howe Fund of the RI Foundation has once again awarded Rhode Island Hospital a grant for “activities of Rhode Island Hospital relating to cancer, including patient care, research, and equipment.” This year’s grant is $16,987.
The Rhode Island Foundation, through its Special Medical Fund program, recently awarded Rhode Island Hospital a grant of $45,624 to support programmatic expenses related to the project “Confronting Alzheimer’s: Primary Care and Registry Partnership Program.”
Lura Cook Hull Trust awarded a grant of $30,000 to Rhode Island Hospital. The Trust’s funding will support Dr. Mark Rivard’s research into “Computational Reconstruction of Brachytherapy Implant Geometry.”
Rhode Island Hospital received a grant of $60,000 from the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance to establish a new Woman to Woman Program, a peer support group for women facing a gynecologic cancer diagnosis. Through the Woman to Woman Program, one-on-one emotional support and mentoring will be provided to women during all phases of treatment, recurrence, and recovery.
Rhode Island Hospital was awarded a grant of $30,292.50 from the Lura Cook Hull Trust. The Trust’s funding will support Dr. Steven Toms’ research into “Attracting Human DIPG Cells Using an In Situ Curing Hydrogel Releasing Lipocalin-2.”
